The perfect Rhino will have…

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related Engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of exclusive working experience as a Database Systems Administrator, proficient in managing various database systems including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. This experience should cover both relational and non-relational database systems.
• Proficient in the design, installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of database systems and services, both in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies for both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Proven experience in capacity planning and scalability assessment for SQL and NoSQL infrastructure, anticipating growth and optimizing performance.
• Expertise in developing comprehensive disaster recovery plans for different database systems, ensuring business continuity in case of system failures.
• Proficiency in automating database management tasks using Ansible playbooks, streamlining administrative processes and enhancing efficiency.
• Ability to create new Ansible playbooks and scripts to automate novel procedures and accommodate new databases as they are introduced.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, specifically utilizing Terraform templates for the provisioning, management, and maintenance of database infrastructure.
• Skilled in providing technical support and effectively troubleshooting database-related issues, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Demonstrated capability in producing comprehensive documentation for various aspects of database systems and services, automation processes, and infrastructure managed as code.
• Effective collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams, understanding their unique database requirements, and delivering appropriate solutions.
• Availability for a full remote work model, based in Portugal.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
